GrowCamp raised beds now available in wood!

You can now get raised beds from GrowCamp – with or without an upper structure – in Siberian larch.

GrowCamp raised beds in wood, are made from FSC-certified larch. The panels, which are 22 mm thick, are from trees grown in Siberia, in an area with a continental climate and permafrost. Therefore, they grow slowly and have a high percentage of heartwood with a close structure and high density. Large amounts of natural resins and tannins mean that the wood is highly resistant to fungal attacks and therefore has a long lifespan.

Naturally with FSC-certification

FSC-certification ensures that the tree has grown in a forest, where no more trees are felled than the forest can manage to reproduce. At the same time, FSC is an assurance that animals and plant life are protected, and that the people who work in the forest are trained and that they are provided with proper safety equipment and receive a reasonable salary.

Simple and exclusive
The raised beds are supplied with matte black-lacquered aluminium posts, which gives a simple and exclusive look. The posts are edged to conceal the ends of the wood panels and to counteract the internal pressure from the soil.

The beds, which are 120 cm in width, are delivered in sections of 120 cm in length. Each section is connected crossways with a rail, which prevents the centre posts giving way, due to soil pressure from within.

Shown above is a sectional view of the corner post’s design. Note the edges, which conceal and protect the ends of the panels.

The sections consist of a base module and extension module:

The sections measure 120 x 120 cm, so the beds can be 240 – 360 – 480 cm etc. in length.

The height of the panels is 15 cm. They are supplied with pre-drilled holes to fit the posts, and include 4 coach bolts in stainless steel with nuts, for each panel. The posts – and thus the raised beds – are available in the following heights: 15 – 30 – 45 and 60 cm.

GrowCamp’s beds in wood are also available in balcony and terrace models:

Shown above are beds with 1-2-3 and 4 panels. They are available in dimensions of 120×62 – 90×44 – 44×44 cm. An upper structure is available in a lean-to model for beds of 62 cm in width.
